Winning Three Top Places in the Annual Competition of the International American Concrete Institute (ACI)
The Concrete Team of the Department of Civil Engineering of Yazd University was Honored Again.
The concrete team of the Department of Civil Engineering, Yazd University, once again won the top three places with its new members in the 24th annual competition of the International American Concrete Institute (ACI) - Iran branch.

According to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of Yazd University, the concrete team of the Department of Civil Engineering of this university was able to purposefully participate with its new members in the 24th annual competition of the International American Concrete Institute (ACI) - Iran branch and win the second place in the field of Concrete Cube Samples and the third place in the fields of Concrete Art as well as Porous Concrete.

Mohammad Reza Haji Zeinali Biouki, Aref Kakoli, Sajjad Zarei Kordshouli, Zohreh Nozohouri, Mohammad Hossein Dehghani Ashkezari and Reza Kargar Dehno Dashti were the new members of the concrete team of the Department of Civil Engineering of Yazd University, which was led by Dr. Mehdi Khodadad Sar Yazdi, a member of the faculty. Fortunately, the team managed to win the top 3 positions.

On the occasion of National Earthquake Safety Day and Bam Earthquake Anniversary, Twenty-fourth Annual Competition of the International American Concrete Institute (ACI) - Iran Branch was held in-person and vitually on December 26th and 27th of this year by the Concrete ResearchCenter and in cooperation with the Scientific Association of Concrete Engineering and Concrete Structures of Iran in the Shahid Abbaspour conference hall of the Technical Engineering Faculty of Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran.

It should be noted that the concrete team of Yazd University has won 8 top positions in domestic and foreign competitions since 2019, the first place in the field of Porous Concrete and the second place in High-strength Concrete in the competitions of the American and Iranian Concrete Institutes.
