The scientific journal "Economic Policy", published by Yazd University, has achieved a significant milestone by being promoted to the first quartile (Q1) in the latest evaluation of the Islamic World Science Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC) for the year 2024 (1403 in the Iranian calendar).
According to a report from the Research and Technology Office at Yazd University, the journal improved its ranking by one level compared to its status over the past three years. As a result, it has successfully obtained a Q1 quality ranking in the ISC evaluation system
The journal, which is listed among the ISC Core Journals, recorded an impact factor of 0.292 and a non-self-citation index of 0.479 in the subject area of Social Sciences. Detailed information about the evaluation is available on the ISC website at: https://jcr.isc.ac/jDetails.aspx.
ISC Core Journals represent a select group of leading scientific publications across various disciplines. Their scientific quality is assessed based on criteria such as the timeliness of research topics, the practical relevance of findings, rigorous methodology, clear presentation of data, logical discussion, precise reasoning, and appropriate conclusions.
The journal "Economic Policy" was first launched in 2009 and now has 17 years of publishing experience. Since 2021, it has consistently received the top “A” ranking in the annual evaluation conducted by the Commission on Scientific Publications of Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. The journal is also currently under evaluation by the international Scopus indexing team.
It is also worth noting that the scientific journal "Social Continuity and Change", published by the Faculty of Social Sciences at Yazd University, recently achieved a Q1 ranking in its first evaluation by the ISC.
