Dr. Ghasem Baridloghmani, a prominent faculty member of Applied Mathematics at Yazd University, has been selected as a “National Distinguished Professor” during the 33rd National Ceremony Honoring Outstanding Faculty Members. The recognition was awarded in appreciation of his scientific and educational contributions for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The prestigious title—considered one of the highest distinctions for evaluating educational and research performance in Iran’s higher education system—was presented during a ceremony attended by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, senior officials of the ministry, and leading academic figures from across the country.
Dr. Baridloghmani is regarded as one of the leading scholars in the field of applied mathematics in Iran. His research has largely focused on specialized areas of differential equations, including stochastic, partial, and ordinary differential equations. Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to advancing knowledge in these fields while also playing an important role in mentoring and training a new generation of mathematics researchers and scholars.
His academic and administrative record reflects a strong impact on the academic community. Dr. Baridloghmani has published 110 research articles in reputable national and international journals, presented 70 papers at scientific conferences, supervised 87 graduate theses and dissertations, led nine major research projects, and authored two academic books.
It is worth noting that Dr. Baridloghmani has previously received several academic and professional honors, including “Outstanding Researcher of Yazd Province” and “the Distinguished Professor.” He has also held senior administrative positions at Yazd University. This national recognition adds another notable achievement to his distinguished academic career.
