Yazd University has achieved notable positions in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026, which evaluated 1,165 universities from 84 countries and territories across 11 academic disciplines.
In the Business and Economics ranking, Yazd University was placed in the 601–800 global band, ranking among Iran’s leading universities in this field. The university was also ranked in the 601–800 global band in Social Sciences, alongside Shiraz University and the University of Isfahan.
The THE subject rankings assess universities using 18 performance indicators grouped under five pillars: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook. The 2026 edition reflects data from more than 3,100 research universities, over 108,000 scholars participating in the Academic Reputation Survey, and 174.9 million citations from 18.7 million academic publications.
The results highlight Yazd University’s growing academic and research standing, particularly in the fields of business, economics, and social sciences.
