In the 31st National Distinguished Faculty Member Recognition Ceremony, which was attended by the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, two faculty members from Yazd University were honored as National Distinguished Professors. Dr. Mirjalili from the Department of Chemistry and Dr. Afshani from the Department of Social Sciences were recognized for their exceptional contributions to teaching and research.
As reported by the
Public Relations Office of Yazd University, the ceremony took place on Tuesday
morning, April 30, 2024, and was hosted by the Iran Research Organization for
Science and Technology (IROST). A total of 65 distinguished professors from around
the country were acknowledged at the event, with the youngest being 45 years
old and the oldest being 70 years old.
The President and
Provost of Yazd University extend their warm congratulations to these esteemed
professors and the entire Yazd University community on this significant
achievement and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
