The International Scientific Cooperation Office (ISCO) is pleased to announce a noteworthy improvement in Yazd University's position within the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia Rankings 2024.
Compared to previous years, the university has secured a spot within the 301-350 range, reflecting a significant rise in its standing.
Dr. Ali Mirvakili, Director of ISCO, commented on this achievement: "The Times Higher Education ranking is a highly respected metric for universities worldwide. In 2013, it introduced a dedicated ranking system for Asian institutions alongside its global rankings. This year's list includes 75 universities from the Islamic Republic of Iran among the top 700 universities in Asia."
"We are thrilled to see Yazd University climb the rankings ladder," Dr. Mirvakili continued. "Previously positioned within the 401-500 range, the university has demonstrably improved its performance."
The THE ranking methodology mirrors the one used for global
universities. Institutions are evaluated across five categories using 13
indicators: Teaching (25% weight), Research (30% weight), Citations (30%
weight), Industry Income (7.5% weight), and International Reputation (7.5%
weight).
