The Board of Directors of Yazd University offers condolences on the occasion of the heavenly ascension of the honorable President and his companions
The Board of Directors of Yazd University expressed condolences for the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raeesi, the President, and his companions in the helicopter crash in the Varzeghan region of Tabriz.

The message reads as follows:

Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him, we shall return.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Some of them have completed their vow (to the extreme), and some still wait, but they have never changed (their determination) in the least.' [Surah Al-Ahzab, Quran 33:23]

On the auspicious anniversary of the birth of Imam Ali ibn Mousa al-Reza (peace be upon him), the soul of the servant of the Iranian nation, the servant of Imam Reza, Ayatollah Raeesi, the beloved and popular President, ascended to the heavens.

The heavenly ascension of the honorable and popular President and his companions is so heartbreaking that it is difficult to believe, but there is no choice but to submit and be content with the will of Allah.

The hardworking and tireless President of Iran, who always recognized no other duty but to serve the people of Iran in the path of the country's progress and development, stood firm on his promise and sacrificed his life for the nation.

This tragic loss is a cause of grief for the academic community, as well as for other segments of society who were familiar with his distinguished personality and invaluable services to our nation.

The Board of Directors of Yazd University offers condolences on the martyrdom of the eminent scholar Ayatollah Raeesi, to the Supreme Leader Imam Khamenei, his esteemed family, his honorable wife and respected children, and all relatives and the noble nation of Iran.

We also express our sorrow for the martyrdom of the late Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister, as well as Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Ali Al-Hashem, the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Imam of Friday prayers in Tabriz, and the honorable Governor of East Azerbaijan, and the protection team and flight crew who joined the President in the divine journey during their mission. We offer our condolences to the esteemed families of these dedicated officials and the noble nation of Iran and ask Allah for forgiveness, mercy, peace, and reunion with the righteous for those noble servants. We wish patience and health for the survivors.
