At the third National Borhan Festival dedicated to free-thinking forums, held from June 28 to July 1, 2024, with the participation of vice chancellors, cultural managers, and students from universities nationwide, and in collaboration with the Deputy for Cultural and Social Affairs and the Office of Cultural and Social Policy and Planning of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, hosted by Allameh Tabataba’i University, three works from Yazd University were distinguished.
According to the Public Relations Office of Yazd University, the Borhan Festival aims to evaluate and foster competition among the free-thinking forums of universities under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology that have been active in recent years. This year’s festival assessed forums held from September 2022 to February 2023.
During the third edition of the festival, out of 686
submissions to the central secretariat, three works from Yazd University were
awarded as follows:
1.
First Place (Golden
Plaque): The political debate forum featuring Dr. Sadegh Zibakalam and Dr.
Ahmad Ghadiri Abyaneh at Yazd University, held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023,
in the university's amphitheater, organized by Hesam Yazdani, then-secretary of
the Islamic Students Association.

Second Place (Silver
Plaque): The Q&A forum with Dr. Saeed Jalili, organized by the Deputy for
Cultural and Social Affairs in collaboration with student organizations and
associations, held on Wednesday, January 3, 2023, in the university's
amphitheater.
3. Second Place (Silver Plaque): The critique and discussion forum on "Ethics in Modern Research: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Detecting and Preventing Scientific Fraud in ISI Publications," led by Dr. Seyedeh Elham Elhambakhsh, faculty member of the Faculty of Language and Literature at Yazd University, in the Farhang Hall of Yazd University, in collaboration with the Iranian Association of English Language and Literature (Yazd Branch), held on Monday, December 25, 2023. Notably, Dr. Ali-Mohammad Fazilatfar and Dr. Ali-Akbar Jabbari served as judges, and Dr. Mohammad Javad Rezaei was the moderator for this forum.
