Dr. Abbas Kalantari, President of Yazd University, has been awarded the Sarv Medal for the second consecutive year. This honor was bestowed during the second Sarv Medal awarding ceremony, which took place on Monday, July 22, concurrently with the National University Presidents' Summit at the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology.
According to the Public Relations Office of Yazd University,
the second Sarv Medal awarding ceremony was held simultaneously with the
National University Presidents' Summit. This prestigious medal was awarded to
15 presidents from universities, higher education institutions, research
centers, and science and technology parks across the country.
The Sarv Medal evaluates higher education managers based on
ten criteria, including innovative management, resource management and
efficiency, value-based and cultural management, scientific and technological
leadership and diplomacy, communications management and social responsibility,
organizational health and anti-corruption efforts, technology development and
knowledge-based wealth creation, strategic management, human capital
management, problem-solving, and crisis management.
It is noteworthy that this medal has been awarded for the
second time at the National University Presidents' Summit, recognizing the
outstanding heads of scientific institutions. The evaluation results will be
presented to the presidents in the form of an annual assessment report and
published as selected experiences in the book "Experiences of the
Presidents in Science, Research, and Technology.
