Dr. Saeid Alikhani, a distinguished professor from the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences at Yazd University, recently visited Imam Kazim University in Najaf, Iraq. He delivered a well-received lecture to faculty and students, and the event also saw participation from mathematics professors and students from Kufa University, reflecting growing academic ties between the institutions.
Dr. Abduljalil Khalaf, the president of Imam Kazim University, who traveled to Najaf for this occasion, warmly welcomed Dr. Alikhani. He introduced the esteemed professor as a leading figure in graph theory and combinatorics, highlighting his significant contributions to the field. President Khalaf expressed his enthusiasm for Dr. Alikhani's visit, emphasizing its potential to initiate fruitful collaborations between Yazd University and Imam Kazim University across various disciplines. Both institutions have agreed to formalize this partnership through the signing of memoranda of understanding in the near future.
Dr. Haidar Shalash, head of the mathematics department at Kufa University, also expressed his appreciation for Dr. Alikhani's visit and its potential to foster academic exchange among the three universities.
