In the pursuit of expanding effective collaborations between academia and industry, a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Technology Transfer and Innovation Company "Jahesh" (TTO of Yazd University) and the Innovation Center of Iran Alloy Steel Company. The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives from both institutions.
According to the Vice-Presidency for Research and Technology
of Yazd University, this MoU was established with the objectives of introducing
and exchanging mutual capacities and needs, creating synergy among specialized
teams, providing innovative solutions and ideas to address the requirements of
the steel industry, and establishing a sustainable platform for constructive
interaction between the university and industry.
Dr. Seyyed Alireza Afshani, Vice-President for Research of
Yazd University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jahesh Technology
Transfer Company, expressed his satisfaction with this collaboration,
considering it an effective step towards elevating the level of industrial
technologies in the country. He stated that this MoU provides a valuable
opportunity for the transfer of advanced academic knowledge and technologies to
the Iranian steel industry, which will undoubtedly yield significant benefits and
achievements for both parties and, ultimately, for national progress.
Dr. Soheila Salimian, CEO of the Jahesh Technology Transfer
and Innovation Company, introduced the company at the meeting, highlighting it
as the first private university technology transfer company in the country.
This MoU marks the beginning of extensive and fruitful
collaborations in the fields of research, technology, and innovation. It is
anticipated that its outcomes will play a significant role in the industrial
development and scientific advancement of the nation.
