Open Letter from Iranian University Professors to Academics Worldwide

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Esteemed Professors and Dear Students,

Today, Gaza burns in the flames of the Zionist oppressors’ selfishness, its breaths are numbered, its children perish in the arms of thirsty and starving mothers due to lack of water, and its wounded succumb to shortages of medicine and sanitation amidst the anguish of medical staff, its journalists find no opportunity to expose the atrocities and savagery of the occupiers amid the inferno. Children, hopeless for the future, line up in short queues for death, while adults, despairing of earthly justice, turn their weary eyes to the heavens. This is the natural outcome of global disorder, the arrogance of domineering governments in the United States and Europe, the profiteering and hedonism of liberal democratic systems, the passivity of self-proclaimed human rights advocates, the inefficacy and irrelevance of international organizations, the deceitful narratives of manipulative media, the inaction of self-serving rulers, and the silence of intellectuals and the global academic community.

Dear Colleagues,

We, the academics of Islamic Republic of Iran, with hearts heavy with pain and sorrow, have gathered in this protest to call upon the awakened consciences, the free-spirited, and you, the vanguards of knowledge and wisdom, to recognize your grave responsibility regarding the deplorable, inhumane conditions and the heartbreaking tragedies unfolding under the shadow of humanity’s silence, the inertia of international institutions, and the indifference of governments.

Let us unite and raise our voices to become the voice of Gaza’s oppressed people in this era of injustice, darkness, ignorance, and modern barbarity. Let us compensate, even in part, for the shortcomings of biased media and mercenary writers by exposing the child-killing and genocidal acts of bloodthirsty Zionists. Let us warn the Pharaohs of our time about the consequences of their tyrannical behavior. Let us fulfill our historical duty to awaken nations and alert these domineering Pharaohs to the repercussions of their actions. May we strive for the eradication of oppression and occupation, the cessation of massacres and slaughter, and the establishment of everlasting peace and security across the globe, God willing.

اساتید معزز، دانشجویان گرامی

امروز اگر غزه در آتش خودخواهی جلادان خون آشام صهیونیستی می سوزد و نفس هایش به شمارش افتاده، کودکانش بر اثر بی آبی در آغوش مادران تشنه و گرسنه برای همیشه می خوابند و مجروحانش بخاطر کمبود و دارو و بهداشت در میان اندوه کادر پزشکی جان می بازند، خبرنگارانش در میان شعله های آتش فرصتی برای انعکاس جنایت و ددمنشی اشغالگران ندارند، بچه ها نومید از آینده در صف های کوتاه مرگ به نوبت نشسته اند و بزرگترها نومید از زمینی ها، چشمان کم سوی خود را به آسمان ها دوخته اند. همه و همه نتیجه طبیعی بی نظمی حاکم بر جهان، خودخواهی دولت های مستکبر آمریکا و اروپا، سودطلبی و لذت طلبی نظام لیبرال دمکراسی، تماشاگری مدعیان حقوق بشری، بی عملی و بی خاصیتی سازمان های بین المللی، روایت گری رسانه های تزویر، انفعال حکام دنیاطلب، سکوت فرهیختگان و جامعه نخبگان در سراسر دنیاست

ما دانشگاهیان ایران اسلامی با دل هایی آکنده از درد و رنج در این تجمع اعتراضی گردهم آمده ایم تا وجدان های بیدار، انسان های آزاده و شما پیشگامان عرصه علم و دانایی را متوجه مسئولیت خطیر خویش در قبال وضعیت اسفناک ضدانسانی و فجایع رقت باری نمائیم که در سایه سکوت و انفعال جامعه بشری، مجامع بین المللی و دولت های بی تفاوت صورت می گیرد. 

بیائید تا با هم یکصدا شده و صدای مردم مظلوم غزه در عصر ظلم و ظلمت و ناآگاهی و جاهلیت مدرن باشیم تا شاید بخشی از کاستی رسانه های وابسته و قلم بدستان مزدور را در انعکاس کودک کشی و نسل کشی صهیونیست های خونخوار را جبران کنیم. بیائید تا فرعونیان روزگار را نسبت به عواقب رفتار قلدرمآبانه خویش هوشیار سازیم.
