The training and education of skilled human resources is one of the primary responsibilities of various organizations in a country. The Department of Chemical and Polymer Engineering at Yazd University began its operations in 2013 by admitting students to the undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering and the Master's program in Polymer Engineering. The admission of students to the Master's program in Chemical Engineering - Separation Processes began in 2018, and to the undergraduate program in Polymer Engineering in 2021. This department has research laboratories for both Chemical and Polymer Engineering, equipped with notable research facilities. Educational laboratories for unit operations, process control, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, general chemistry, analytical chemistry, and organic chemistry, equipped with diverse instruments, are also available to the Department of Chemical and Polymer Engineering. The absorption of a significant number of graduates from the Department of Chemical and Polymer Engineering at Yazd University into the chemical and polymer industries of Yazd Province and other parts of the country is a source of pride for this department. Achieving top ranks in student Olympiads at the regional and national levels, and the pursuit of higher education by a significant number of students from this department, are among the other achievements of the Department of Chemical and Polymer Engineering.
