History and Introduction of the Faculty

The Electrical Engineering Department at Yazd University began its educational activities in 1992 with the admission of the first group of students in the field of Electronic Electrical Engineering, supported by six faculty members. Over the years, the department has grown and developed, dedicated to training skilled graduates and proficient engineers in science and industry. Annually, it welcomes talented and determined students who embark on the journey of acquiring knowledge in one of the fundamental disciplines of the modern era.

Currently, the department benefits from the expertise and specialized experience of 34 full-time faculty members, organized into three specialized sections: Electronics and Control, Power, and Telecommunications. This structure enables the department to lead in education and training of specialized personnel, meeting the industrial needs of the country in the field of Electrical Engineering.
