A Legacy of Excellence in Industrial Engineering: Yazd University
Established in 1991, Yazd University's Industrial Engineering Department has fostered a thriving academic environment for over three decades. From a founding cohort of 25 students, the department has grown into a comprehensive program offering undergraduate studies (initiated in 1993) alongside Master's (commenced in 2000) and Doctoral programs (introduced in 2008).
The department's commitment to diverse specializations is evident. Master's programs delve into System Management & Efficiency (since 2001), Industrial Engineering (since 2009), Economic & Social Systems Engineering (since 2015), and Project Management (since 2022). The doctoral program mirrors this focus, offering specializations in System Management & Efficiency (since 2007) and Industrial Engineering (since 2012).
The department is structured into three key sections: Optimization, System Analysis & Quality, and Efficiency. Its dedicated computer center caters to faculty, Ph.D. students, and staff, providing internet access and specialized training in Industrial Engineering and Information Technology. Furthermore, the department boasts a comprehensive library with extensive resources for students of all levels.
