Introduction
Mission of the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering is:
  • providing students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully meet challenges they will face in today’s mining and industries,
  • graduating technically competent and educated mining and metallurgy engineers who follow technological developments and innovations
  • producing solutions for sectorial problems by scientific and industrial projects with the cooperation of mining and metallurgical industries
The department offers three programs of Mining Explorations, Mining Exploitations and Metallurgy in three levels of bachelor, master and Ph.D. for Iranian and foreign students. On average, the department annually accepts about 130 bachelors, 130 masters and 20 Ph.D. students in Mining Exploration, Petroleum Exploration, Mining Exploitation, Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, and Ceramic Engineering. The department has more than 26 full time academic members with different up-to-date research interests.
