Introduction
The Textile Engineering B.Sc. Program is an interdisciplinary curriculum drawing on diverse science and engineering principles. Textile Engineering students develop a unique background, which allows them to pursue undergraduate research, summer internship experiences and design projects in the fields of spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, design, and clothing. This program aims to educate highly skilled engineers with technological and managerial background in textile and apparel field, with solid theoretical basis, creative mind, and strong practical ability and mastering professional knowledge of modern textile engineering. The students are competent at design of textile technology, design and development of textiles, textile manufacturing management and quality control, technical and industrial textiles, and other high-tech research on non-textile application of fibrous structures. Students of this program should fulfill four-year undergraduate education.
The Master in Textile Engineering provides knowledge on the latest development in textile technology in a wide range of subjects covering high-performance fibers, 3D-textiles, nanofibrous structures, nanotechnology in textiles, and new processes and machines to manufacture textile products.
The mission of the Textile Engineering PhD program is to educate textile engineers who combine theory, practice, scholarly research and application of knowledge in their chosen professions. It is expected that graduates of the doctoral program will pursue careers in basic and applied research in industry, government or university settings. Graduates will contribute original research and scholarly publications based on their field of study.
