The Department of Geography at Yazd University is committed

well-equipped laboratories for hands-on training and research. These

The department's laboratory facilities include:
A. Urban Planning Workshop:
Equipped with 20 computers connected to a central server
Provides a dedicated space for students to engage in urban planning exercises and simulations
Facilitates the use of specialized software and data analysis tools for urban planning applications
B. Laboratory of Geographic Information Technology
Equipped with 20 computers specifically designed for
geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing applications
Enables students to acquire hands-on experience in data
acquisition, processing, analysis, and visualization
Prepares students for utilizing GIS and remote sensing
techniques in various fields, including environmental management, resource
planning, and urban development
C. Soil and Water Laboratory:**
Equipped with 10 computers and a capacity for 20 students
Provides a dedicated space for conducting soil and water
analysis experiments
Facilitates the study of soil properties, water quality, and
environmental interactions
D. Geography Laboratory:
Equipped with 8 computers and a capacity for 25 students
